Flood and Peterson is seeking a detail-oriented and service-focused professional to join our Employee Benefits team. This role is designed for someone who enjoys supporting clients, coordinating benefit program activities, and ensuring accurate administration of employee benefits. The ideal candidate is organized, responsive, and able to manage multiple priorities while delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders.ย 

As an Employee Benefits Account Administrator, you will provide administrative and client service support to Account Managers and Consultants by assisting with the implementation, administration, and servicing of employee benefit programs for new and existing clients. You will work closely with clients, carriers, vendors, Employee Navigator, and internal team members to support benefit program administration and service delivery.ย 

Whether your background is in employee benefits, insurance, administrative support, customer service, or a related field, this position offers the opportunity to contribute to the successful administration and servicing of employee benefit programs while supporting client service objectives.ย 


What You'll Doย 

  • Client & Account Support: Provide administrative and client service support to Employee Benefits Account Managers and Consultants in servicing new and existing clients while supporting client retention efforts through responsive service and assisting the Employee Benefits team in meeting client service objectives.ย 
  • Benefits Program Administration: Coordinate implementation, enrollment, renewals, eligibility changes, terminations, and ongoing administration of employee benefit programs by working closely with clients, carriers, vendors, Employee Navigator, and internal team members.ย 
  • Benefit Communications & Education: Prepare, maintain, and distribute benefit guides, open enrollment communications, educational resources, compliance documents, and other client-facing materials that support employee understanding of benefit programs.ย 
  • Meeting & Enrollment Coordination: Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of open enrollment meetings, employee education sessions, client meetings, and related benefit communication activities.ย 
  • Records & Documentation Management: Maintain accurate client, policy, compliance, and benefit plan information within agency management systems, carrier portals, benefits administration platforms, and client records. Manage client documentation and records, including contracts, SPDs, certificates, compliance materials, reporting, and record retention requirements.ย 
  • Issue Resolution & Reporting: Assist with resolving billing, eligibility, implementation, compliance, and service-related issues through coordination with carriers, vendors, clients, and internal resources. Generate standard client reports and provide administrative support for benefits administration systems, carrier platforms, and related reporting needs.ย 
  • Agency Processes & Service Standards: Comply with agency workflows, procedures, and service standards while effectively managing multiple priorities and deadlines.ย 

What You Bringย 

  • Education and Work Experience: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred. One to three years of employee benefits, insurance, administrative support, customer service, or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.ย 
    • Certificates, Licenses & Registrations:
      • Possess or obtain Colorado Life & Health Insurance License within 90 days of hire date. ย 
      • Requires current Colorado driver's license and acceptable MVR.ย 
  • Organization & Prioritization: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and client service activities effectively.ย 
  • Communication & Client Service: Effective communication and client service skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients, carriers, vendors, and internal team members.ย 
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records, documentation, compliance materials, and benefit plan information.ย
