About the Role:
The Electronic Filing Legal Assistant (E-filer) is responsible for Electronic Filing of all applicable pleadings for our Electronic Filing States. Currently that includes Colorado, Kentucky, New Jersey, Indiana, Minnesota and Portions of Ohio, Georgia, Michigan, and Tennessee. This position offers a variety of pleading review and handling. Because we file suits and E-File in nine different states this role provides you experience in multiple states litigation processes. This position requires great attention to detail as our E-filers do a review of each file to determine whether or not we want to pursue said action. Subsequently, the e-filer is responsible to do a quality check of the actual document to make sure there are no obvious errors in the submission. The person who holds this position is a vital member of the firm, ensuring we perform well each month for our clients by maximizing the amount of filings we are submitting to the court for review and approval. We rely heavily our e-filers to provide feedback on submission and document quality as they are the last line of defense before filing with the court. This position requires strong data entry, Excel / Microsoft Suite experience, and online docket experience is preferred. Our firm provides on-site training that is continual throughout the progression of your career. This role is demanding of someone who is reliable, with great attendance, attention to detail, ability to stay on task and is good working with computers as all of our work is done via computer.
