What is electronic filing?

Electronic filing, often called e-filing, is the process of submitting documents electronically rather than using paper. In legal, tax, and government settings, e-filing allows individuals or organizations to upload forms, applications, or records through secure online systems. This method speeds up processing times, reduces errors, and provides immediate confirmation of receipt. Many courts, tax agencies, and government offices now require or encourage electronic filing for efficiency and convenience.
