Job Description
An established manufacturer is seeking an Industrial Electrical Control Panel Builder to support the assembly, wiring, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical/electronic control panels and industrial machinery control systems. This role requires hands on panel building experience, the ability to read wiring schematics accurately, and working knowledge of PLCs, drives, and motor controllers. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented electrical professional who can build and wire panels safely, identify wiring issues, and support equipment testing in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
• Build, wire, inspect, repair, install, modify, and maintain electrical/electronic control panels, circuits, systems, and equipment
• Read wiring schematics and verify proper wiring codes, terminations, shorts, grounds, and continuity
• Inspect and test completed components to confirm specifications are met
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, equipment malfunctions, and completed machinery during testing
• Identify defective materials, unusual conditions, design concerns, or print errors and report details to the appropriate supervisor
• Perform preventive maintenance and complete all work in accordance with established safety procedures
Qualifications and Requirements:
• Must have electrical/electronic control panel assembly experience; 3+ years required
• Industrial electrical experience required
• Ability to read and understand wiring schematics; 5+ years required
• Experience with PLCs, drives, and motor controllers; 3+ years required
• Manufacturing experience; 3+ years required
• Able to lift 50 lbs. or more
• Fundamental electrical test will be given
• Recent graduates of a related technical curriculum with hands-on panel building training will be considered
