Electrical Design Engineer - Control System Integrators Inc (CSI) in Lansing - MI
In this position, you will initiate and control the engineering, design, development, and testing of electrical control systems for various types of material handling and process control operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform control system engineering and design using standardized methods and practices
  • Detailing and design of electrical control panels
  • General electrical calculations for additions to existing systems
  • Perform panel testing and answer questions from the panel shop regarding the electrical design.
  • Providing technical support for installation of tools and equipment
  • Cross check the work of other engineers doing similar designs.
  • Represent a professional company image in all customer contact situations
    Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years' experience working in Controls Electrical Design.
  • 3+ years' experience in control systems engineering and design in automotive setting
  • 4+ years' experience with AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
  • Strong electrical knowledge and tangible experience doing electrical testing
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to learn new systems and technologies
Education and Experience:
  • Required minimum High School Diploma with 3-6 years minimum of Automation / Controls experience
  • Preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree
  • Detailing and design of electrical control panels
  • AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical
