AeroSpec is seeking a motivated Control Panel Builder I to learn the fundamentals of industrial control panel construction for custom automation systems. You will work under the guidance of experienced panel builders, lead technicians, and engineers while developing skills in panel layout, component mounting, point-to-point wiring, schematic reading, basic testing, and UL 508A industrial control panel practices.
About AeroSpec
AeroSpec is a global leader in the design, engineering, and manufacturing of automated assembly and test machine systems. Our work includes motion controls, robotics, machine vision, laser integration, precision component placement, metrology systems, and UL 508A industrial control panels.
What You'll Do
As a Control Panel Builder I, you will:
  • Assist with control panel layout, component mounting, and panel fabrication.
  • Perform basic point-to-point wiring using schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Learn to identify and work with common electrical control components.
  • Use hand tools, wire preparation tools, crimpers, and basic meters safely and accurately.
  • Perform basic continuity checks and visual inspections.
  • Follow build documentation, quality standards, and guidance from senior technicians.
  • Learn UL 508A panel-building standards and safe industrial wiring practices.
  • Build skill toward more independent panel construction work.

What We're Looking For
Strong candidates will have:
  • Technical coursework, vocational training, military technical training, a technical certificate, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • 0-2 years of experience in control panel wiring, electrical assembly, electronics, automotive wiring, avionics, commercial electrical work, industrial maintenance, or machine building.
  • Basic understanding of electrical theory, including voltage, current, resistance, and circuits.
  • Exposure to electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, or technical drawings.
  • Experience using hand tools and basic electrical tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, or multimeters.
  • Strong attention to detail, pride in craftsmanship, and a willingness to learn.
  • Reliable attendance, safe work habits, and a team-oriented attitude.
  • Basic computer skills; Microsoft Windows experience is a plus.

What We Offer
  • Competitive wage.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • Schedule: 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with opportunity for overtime.
  • Mentorship, formal technical training, and tuition reimbursement.
  • Career growth into panel building, machine wiring, troubleshooting, and automation roles.
  • Medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, PTO, and other benefits.
  • 401(k) with 50% company match.

Why This Role Matters
