Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Electrical Panel Assembler to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the physical assembly, wiring, and mounting of components within industrial control panels based on technical schematics and blueprints.

The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, possesses a high level of mechanical aptitude, and takes pride in delivering clean, organized, and high-quality electrical builds.

Key Responsibilities

• Mechanical Assembly: Layout and mount electrical components (din rails, wire ducts, breakers, contactors, terminals, and PLCs) onto backpanels and enclosures.

• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret blue prints, bills of materials (BOM), and layout drawings to ensure accuracy.

• Quality Control: Perform self-inspections of work to ensure all connections are secure, labeled correctly, and meet UL 508A or NEC standards.

• Tool Operation: Safely use hand and power tools including drills, wire strippers, crimpers, torque wrenches, and knockout punches.

• Basic Wiring: Route, strip, crimp, and terminate wires according to electrical schematics and point-to-point wiring diagrams.

• Safety: Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to all shop safety protocols.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in electrical assembly, panel building, or a related electrical trade (preferred).

• Technical Literacy: Ability to read and understand electrical schematics and ladder logic diagrams.

  • Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to work with small components and color-coded wiring.
  • Attention to Detail: A "perfectionist" mindset regarding wire routing and labeling to ensure professional aesthetics and functionality.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Experience

  • Schematic Reading: Proficient
  • UL 508A Standards: Familiarity and experience is a plus
  • Power Tool Safety: Advanced
  • PLC Components: Basic understanding

Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: One loose wire or mislabeled terminal can cause a system failure.
  • Efficiency: Meeting production deadlines without compromising on craftsmanship.
  • Problem Solving: Identifying discrepancies between schematics and physical space.
  • Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to PPE and electrical safety protocols.
  • Work Environment
  • Facility: Climate-controlled industrial production floor.
  • Physical Demands: Active role requiring standing, bending, and fine motor dexterity for intricate wiring; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Tools & Tech: Daily use of precision hand tools, power drivers, and electrical testing equipment.
  • Safety Culture: Strict adherence to PPE standards and electrical safety protocols.
  • Atmosphere: A focused, detail-oriented setting that balances independent technical work with team-based quality goals.
