Job Description Electrical Design Engineer Setting/Hours: 100% in Office| Full-time Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in West Chester, Ohio that's expanding its Manufacturing team. Overview: Seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop and execute electrical designs for packaged industrial systems. Responsibilities include power distribution design, control panel design, and controls development to support complete system functionality.

Works closely with Mechanical Engineering and Project Management teams to ensure successful system integration and project execution. Opportunity to contribute to cross-functional engineering efforts within a collaborative, technical environment. Key Responsibilities: Creates and develops submittals, working drawings, and production drawings based on project specifications, engineering standards, and customer requirements.

Gathers and analyzes technical project data through engineering research, reference materials, and collaboration with internal engineering teams. Develops Bills of Materials (BOMs), including part number assignments, to support purchasing, accounting, and production functions. Determines and documents equipment selection, mounting dimensions, and clearance requirements in accordance with NEC and company standards.

Designs electrical schematics, control panel layouts, and system component drawings; AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred. Coordinates electrical designs across multiple departments to ensure manufacturability, system integration, and project alignment. Develops PLC ladder logic, HMI displays, and communication/interface software tailored to project and customer requirements.

Supports complete electrical system design and controls integration within a collaborative engineering environment. Qualifications Required: Minimum of 2 years of electrical design experience required. Experience with PLC programming required; Allen-Bradley experience preferred, though other platforms will be considered.

Prior HVAC systems experience preferred. Associate's degree required in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related technical field. Proficiency with AutoCAD required; AutoCAD Electrical experience preferred.

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Understanding of electrical power components, system sizing, and component selection. Familiarity with, or willingness to learn, electronic controls, instrumentation systems, and variable water volume systems.
