To thrive as an EHR Implementation Manager, you need expertise in healthcare informatics, project management, and a solid understanding of electronic health record (EHR) systems, often supported by a bachelor’s degree and certifications like PMP or CPHIMS. Familiarity with EHR platforms (such as Epic or Cerner), implementation methodologies, and data migration tools is essential. These skills and qualities are crucial for overseeing successful EHR deployments that improve clinical workflows and patient care.
