Organizational Unit
The Institute for School-Community Partnerships, Integrative Services, and Child Mental Health and Educational Policy (ISCP), which is part of the College of Education, envisions that all schools in the state of Florida and nationally will have the capacity to provide a safe, effective, and efficient environment to continuously improve the academic, social, and emotional growth of all students and to actively engage families and communities in education. The ISCP's nearly $23 million budget is derived from grants from federal, state, and private sources. It is the mission of the ISCP to implement and evaluate research-based and innovative practices in school and community settings. This is accomplished through (a) training, technical assistance, and support to key partners; (b) community-engaged research and program evaluation to inform key partners' decision making; (c) the development of research and evidence-based documents, tools, and resources to support implementation and evaluation activities; and (d) supporting the infrastructure and capacity of key partners to implement and evaluate federal and state educational policy.
Position Summary
The Title I Educational Policy Consultant provides support to the Title I, Part A program team in researching Title I, Part A laws, rules, and regulations. In addition, the position will develop a resource library for the Title I, Part A program team's guidance. This position will also be responsible for managing the Title I, Part A monitoring processes, identifying compliance indicators and managing the execution of monitoring processes. The position will also be responsible for assisting and overseeing all Title I Program Requirements. This position is grant funded.

Responsibilities:
Policy Development, Research and Implementation: Research federal and state policies, procedures, non-regulatory guidance and other requirements as they pertain to the Title I, Part A program. Develops Title I, Part A policy and procedure guidance for internal and external stakeholder use. Provides policy support to the Title I, Part A program team as needed including but not limited to, corresponding with local educational agencies (LEAs), charter schools, private schools, other bureaus, Senior Leadership and other educational entities/consortia. Provides professional learning to the Title I, Part A program team and the Bureau of Educational Programs (BFEP) staff.
Monitoring: Serves as the Team Lead for implementing and ensuring Title I monitoring activities are in compliance for applicable fiscal, administrative and programmatic requirements. Provides technical assistance to LEAs for Title I monitoring.
Title I, Part A, Program Specific Requirements: Responsible for ensuring adherence to and completion of the Comparability requirement under Title I, Part A. Provides technical assistance to LEAs and training to program staff on Comparability. Assists and supports the Assistant Director with leading and managing the Committee of Practitioners (COP) meetings as required under Title I, Part A. Responsible for the yearly acknowledgement from LEAs for the Constitutionally Protected Prayer (CPP) form. Assists with all other applicable requirements under Title I, Part A. Assists the FDOE Foster Care Contact with foster care Title I, Part A requirements.
Coordinates with other bureaus/agencies in compiling best practices for Family Engagement, Foster Care Students and Early Learning. Attending and conducting meetings on behalf of the Bureau Chief, Assistant Bureau Chief and Director.
Performs other duties as assigned.
