Description
Position Summary
Performs all duties involved in the shipping process for the E-Commerce department, including but not limited to: the pick, pack and ship functions. Initiates FedEx claims for lost or damaged goods. Pulls unsold auction items and moves them to the next designated area (Auction, Outlet, E-Recycle), as appropriate. Provides assistance to the E-Commerce Listing Specialists, as time allows.
Essential Duties
(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)
1. Pulls items sold/paid on ShopGoodWill for shipping. 2. Packs items with appropriate shipping materials in an appropriately sized box for a secure shipment. 3. Uses FedEx and ShopGoodWill shipment software to ship 4. Meets daily shipment goals 5. Stages packages daily for FedEx pickup, and assists drivers in pickup 6. Opens claims with FedEx for lost or damaged shipments 7. Determines next step in process of unsold items (relist, combine and list, Outlet, Auction, E-Recycle), and takes action daily. 8. May assist with photographing and listing, as directed by the E-Commerce Project Manager.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• No previous experience required.
• No professional certifications are required for this position.
• The associate is not required to drive as part of their job duties.
• The associate in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check.
• E-commerce research and listing experience, or equivalent knowledge from personal on-line sales experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of Goodwill's product sales lines (i.e. music, jewelry, art, electronics, cameras, etc.), preferred.
• Knowledge of digital camera use and ability to take acceptable digital photos for online listings, preferred.
