Description
This position will own key aspects of our E-commerce ecosystem, helping guide platform transformation initiatives while driving revenue growth, digital merchandising excellence, marketplace optimization, and cross-functional execution. Responsible for discussing long-term digital strategy with leadership and rolling up their sleeves inside Shopify, Salsify, Amazon Vendor Central, or retailer portals to solve problems and drive results.
This position plays a critical role in helping York modernize its digital experience while strengthening relationships and performance across major ecommerce retailers including Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, and others.
PRIMARY DUTIES
Ecommerce Strategy & Growth
  • Help lead the evolution of York Wallcoverings' E-commerce strategy across direct-to-consumer and third-party retail channels
  • Drive significant online revenue growth through improved digital merchandising, conversion optimization, content strategy, assortment planning, and marketplace execution
  • Partner cross-functionally with marketing, sales, product development, operations, and IT to execute E-commerce growth initiatives
  • Analyze performance data, customer behavior, and channel trends to identify opportunities for growth and operational improvement

Leadership & Team Development
  • Lead and mentor E-commerce team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, agility, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Act as a hands-on leader willing to directly engage in execution while helping build scalable processes and capabilities for future growth

Shopify Plus & Digital Platform Leadership
  • Serve as a key leader in York's Shopify Plus transformation and ongoing E-commerce platform evolution
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external agency/development partners on site enhancements, integrations, UX improvements, and feature rollouts
  • Help optimize onsite customer experience, navigation, product discovery, merchandising, and conversion performance
  • Support E-commerce operations including promotions, product launches, category management, and digital campaign execution

Salsify & Product Content Management
  • Lead and optimize product content syndication and PIM workflows within Salsify
  • Ensure product data accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all E-commerce channels
  • Drive best practices around PDP optimization, digital shelf content, imagery, A+ content, SEO, and retailer-specific content requirements
  • Partner with merchandising and creative teams to improve product storytelling and online presentation

Marketplace & Retailer Management
  • Manage and grow E-commerce relationships with major online retail partners including Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, and similar accounts
  • Monitor retailer performance, content quality, advertising opportunities, inventory health, pricing, and promotional execution
  • Partner with internal sales and operations teams to improve retailer performance metrics and operational efficiency
  • Identify opportunities to improve visibility, conversion, profitability, and assortment expansion across marketplace channels

Requirements
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • 7+ years of ecommerce experience, including leadership responsibilities within a consumer brand, home décor company, retailer, or related industry
  • Strong hands-on experience with Shopify Plus
  • Familiarity with ecommerce advertising and retail media platforms
  • Knowledge of ERP, middleware, or systems integration environments a plus
  • Experience working within both DTC and wholesale/manufacturer ecommerce
  • Experience working within Salsify or similar PIM/product content management platforms
  • Proven experience managing and growing business across major ecommerce retailers and marketplaces including Amazon, Wayfair, Walmart, Home Depot, Lowe's, and similar channels
  • Strong understanding of digital merchandising, ecommerce operations, online consumer behavior, and marketplace dynamics
  • Experience working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, operations, and technology teams
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and project leadership abilities
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, evolving environment with both strategic and tactical responsibilities
