Job description

SUMMARY:

Drop/Count Team Members will exchange full (hot) cash boxes in the machines with empty (cold) boxes and count all currency and tickets from all gaming machines ATM’s, JXC’s and Ticket Kiosks in order to facilitate the daily reconciliation process. This will be accomplished through coordination with Revenue Audit and Cage personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

ATM/JXC/Ticket Kiosks
  • Perform machine maintenance during scheduled times. Ensure an adequate inventory of money is in machines at all times.
  • Verify cash removed and issued for machines.
  • Complete monthly settlements of all machines.
  • Complete maintenance and upkeep of all machines.
  • Inventory and maintain any equipment issued for the purpose of maintaining the machines.

Drop Function

  • Remove, replace, and secure cash boxes on casino floor.
  • Ensure box identification is scanned prior to placement in a machine and data is read correctly.
  • Transport boxes to count room.
  • Perform machine drop nightly in accordance with current policy.
  • Verify box count upon exiting and entering count room.
Gaming Machines

Count Function

  • Prepare carts for the Drop Team and verify the box types and counts.
  • Return all relevant paperwork to auditing after settlements.
  • Verify cash drop by machine or table.
  • Strap, bundle and layer currency by correct denomination in the correct format.
  • Prepare cash summary sheet for submission to Revenue Audit and verify numbers with Cage and Credit Supervisor.
  • Assist in reconciliation of variances to achieve balance.
  • Ensure orderly transfer of all currency to the vault.
  • Transfer totals to IGT Acres system and forward paperwork to appropriate departments.
  • Thoroughly clean all Cummins machines at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Attend all department meetings, workshops, and trainings as designated by department manager.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned by manager/supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Coeur d’Alene tribal gaming license.

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Must be able to work well in teams.
  • Must be adept at multi-tasking.
  • Good customer service skills both internal and external are required. 
  • Strong organizational skills are required. 
  • Ability to precisely follow directions is a must. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills are required. 
  • Experience operating cash counting and verification machines preferred.
  • Basic math skills required. 
  • Must have a positive and productive attitude.
