Job Title: Scanning Technician
Pay Rate: $17.20 per hour
Location: Rockville, MD
Schedule: 30โ€“35 hours per week
Work Setting: On-site only; no telework

Position Overview

AITHERAS LLC is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Scanning Technician to support our Scanning and Document Procurement Department. This is a strong opportunity for college students, recent graduates, and entry-level professionals looking to gain hands-on experience in an office environment.

The Scanning Technician will assist with the preparation, organization, scanning, and handling of physical documents to ensure materials are processed accurately and efficiently. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, comfortable following instructions, and able to perform repetitive clerical tasks with consistency and care.

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare physical documents for scanning by removing staples, paper clips, binder clips, and other fasteners
  • Unfold pages and straighten materials to ensure documents are ready for accurate scanning
  • Maintain the correct order and integrity of files throughout the preparation and scanning process
  • Re-staple or reassemble documents after scanning when required
  • Organize batches of records and ensure documents are properly labeled and tracked
  • Perform basic clerical and administrative support tasks related to document handling
  • Follow detailed instructions for document preparation and scanning workflows
  • Identify and report issues such as missing pages, damaged documents, or improperly ordered files
  • Support general office operations as needed within the department
Required Qualifications
