Job description

The Technician/Technologist should be prepared to lead the document control process for various miscellaneous projects that may be executed in parallel. As an integral part of the project management team the candidate will be given the opportunity to grow and build their career with NELSON through:

- Database data entry: functional use and control of document management and MS Office software

- Interfacing with project engineers and project management, both NELSON and their clients

- Document filing and distribution: hard copy and electronic (email)

- General Data Error Checking: drawing numbers, titles, revision numbers, etc.

- Copying and Scanning

- Familiarity with engineering drawings & documents as well as equipment and material vendor drawings & documents

- Project manual assembly: hard and electronic copies

Requirements

As a minimum, candidates are expected to:

โ€ข Have a High School Degree

โ€ข Be Self-Starters, Fast Learners

โ€ข Desire to learn, ask questions and willing to take on increased responsibility

โ€ข Have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing to a diversely educated audience

โ€ข Work independently and not require peripheral electronic attention (internet, social media and networking)

โ€ข Function in a professional manner and be detail oriented
