We are looking for a detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team in Milwaukie, Oregon on a contract to hire basis. In this role, you will coordinate daily service activity, keep communication flowing between customers and field personnel, and help ensure work is scheduled and documented accurately. This position is ideal for someone who can stay organized in a fast-paced environment while balancing multiple priorities and delivering dependable customer support.
Responsibilities:
• Coordinate and arrange service visits, ensuring appointments are scheduled efficiently and updated as needed.
• Match incoming work with electricians by considering technician availability, geographic coverage, and trade expertise (previous dispatcher experience preferred).
• Stay in close contact with field staff throughout the day to monitor progress, provide updates, and address changing job site needs.
• Record and maintain accurate details for service requests, work orders, customer information, and technician activity in Vista (VISTA experience preferred).
• Communicate directly with customers to confirm upcoming visits, share status updates, and follow up after services are completed.
• Support scheduled work by arranging for required materials or parts and tracking their availability for assigned jobs.
• Review technician tickets and related documentation to help prepare complete and accurate billing support.
• Watch service workload and scheduling patterns closely to identify conflicts, delays, or coverage gaps before they escalate.
• Assist leadership with reporting, schedule changes, and day-to-day coordination across service operations.
• Follow company safety expectations and maintain an onsite presence to support managers, teams, and operational needs as assigned.
• Associate degree, technical training, or a comparable combination of education and relevant dispatch or service coordination experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage several active tasks at once while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize changing workloads in a fast-moving environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for working with customers, technicians, and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing collaboratively to team goals and operational changes.
• Solid computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and other dispatch or service tracking systems.
• Detail-oriented attitude, dependable attendance, and a consistent commitment to quality work and punctuality.
