3rd Shift Dispatcher

Are you someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys problem solving, and takes pride in keeping things moving?  Join FS Transportation as a 3rd Shift Dispatcher and play a critical role in keeping freight moving across the Midwest every night.

FS Transportation, LLC is a collaborative logistics company predominately shipping corrugated linerboard from Five Star Sheets, LLC to box manufacturers throughout the Midwest.  Every day, FS Transportation coordinates 70-80 trailer loads across the Midwest, operating a fleet of 20 tractors and more than 170 trailers. Our dispatch team is at the heart of making those deliveries happen safely and on time.  As the overnight dispatcher, you'll be the key connection between drivers, production teams, and customers. Your decisions help ensure products are loaded correctly, deliveries arrive on time, and operations continue running smoothly around the clock.

What You'll Do

  • Monitor outbound shipments and delivery schedules
  • Coordinate with production teams to resolve shipping issues
  • Ensure loads are dispatched accurately and on time
  • Verify shipping documentation
  • Monitor Hours of Service (HOS) and ELD compliance
  • Communicate with drivers and respond to changing conditions

 

Qualifications

An associate’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management or similar work experience in a related field is preferred. This position requires strong computer skills, email management, communication, decision making, and critical thinking. A successful candidate can manage multiple priorities at once, while communicating effectively, and staying calm under pressure.
