Summary:
The primary purpose of the Dispatch Manager is to make sure that all deliveries are scheduled in a timely manner and book incoming direct trucks to be unloaded at jobsites. The Dispatch Manager will oversee minor truck and equipment maintenance and will enter delivery tickets into the computer to allow Salespersons and Customer Service Representatives to maintain an accurate timetable for their customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and routing of all deliveries to the yard and jobsites.
  • Enter tickets and support the sales and CSR departments.
  • Maintain maintenance and records on all company trucks and equipment.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of dispatch experience.
  • Supervisory and/or management experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with truck and equipment maintenance.

Computer Skills:
  • Data entry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software, internet software and e-mail.
  • Ability to learn billing software systems and access online support/tools.
