Purpose
The Associate Discipleship Director will cultivate a culture of disciple-making at Chapel Pointe through adult discipleship ministries at all sites. They will partner with leaders to ensure alignment and impact, and champion the vision to see transformed followers of Jesus passionately responding to God.


Job Responsibilities

Marriage & Parenting Ministry Leadership

  • Provide leadership, vision, and strategy for our marriage ministry. In this, creating a cohesive marriage ministry plan that involves pre-marital, ongoing marriage investment, and care for broken or hurting marriages
  • Develop the systems, processes, and recurring marriage environments and resources that are necessary for individuals and couples to be effectively ministered to
  • Train and coordinate volunteer teams at the Hudsonville campus to own and implement the marriage ministry strategy
  • Work alongside our other campuses to ensure marriage ministry is effectively implemented across each unique campus context
  • Partner with the family ministry team in recommending resources for parents to be better equipped to disciple their kids


Hudsonville Discipleship Ministry

  • Run the membership and baptism processes, ensuring people have a clear understanding of doctrinal and practical implications as they go through each process at the Hudsonville campus
  • Oversee planning, training, and coordinating teachers for adult discipleship classes at the Hudsonville campus
  • Serve as one of the primary teachers and content writers within our adult discipleship ministry


Leader Development

  • Lead the Multiply step of the Discipleship Pathway, crafting content and training that connects organically to the Grow step and mobilizes leaders to become disciple-makers.
  • Serve as a primary teacher and trainer in Adult Discipleship environments, equipping teachers, facilitators, and small group leaders.
  • Partner with the Small Groups Pastor to create robust training content for table facilitators and group leaders to thrive as disciple-makers.
  • Engage in leadership pipelines to identify, equip, and empower future leaders for multiplication.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in adult discipleship, group leadership, or other relevant ministry work.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience leading paid and volunteer teams within a multi-campus environment
