Choir Director


Choir Director of Covington Latin School is a part-time position responsible for leading and developing the school’s liturgical music program. This individual will plan and coordinate weekly school Mass music, direct choir rehearsals, and organize performances and special events that enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the school community. The ideal candidate will support the mission of Covington Latin School.


  • Plan and coordinate music for weekly school Mass in collaboration with campus ministry, administration, or clergy

  • Select appropriate liturgical music aligned with the Catholic calendar and seasons (e.g., Advent, Lent, Easter)

  • Prepare worship aids or music materials as needed

Choir Direction & Rehearsals

  • Lead regular choir rehearsals (schedule to be determined)

  • Instruct students in vocal technique, harmony, and performance skills

  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and disciplined rehearsal environment

  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback

Event Planning & Performances

  • Organize and direct choir performances for school events (e.g., concerts, liturgies, assemblies, community events)

  • Coordinate logistics for performances, including scheduling, attire, and equipment

  • Explore opportunities for the choir to participate in community or diocesan events

Program Development
