Job Purpose
A Herc claims administrator will assist with the claim processes and reporting function of the business. Claims types include, Certificate of Insurance (COI), Herc Rental Protection Plan Claims, Self-Insured, No Insurance. The claims administrator will work with cross-functional team members to ensure claims are processed in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include claims processing and finding ways to enhance process/drive improved damage recovery.
What you will do...
  • Handle intake process for new claims, including gathering information from branch about the damage
  • Determine whether claims are eligible for coverage under RPP, COI, etc.
  • Collecting evidence such as photos, written documentation, etc. from branches that support a claim
  • Document and close claims as they are settled/damage costs are recovered
  • Use and update claims documentation throughout the claims process, via salesforce
  • Analyze, track and trend loss information to determine loss drivers and report to internal stakeholders on existing and potential new operations
  • Maintain claim files within claims database
  • Update and refine Salesforce platform for claims management
  • Document claims process and create best practices for internal use. SOP's. etc.
  • Demonstrate active participation in Herc Rentals Safety Culture, always prioritizing the safety of team members and customers alike
  • Support all team members
  • Learn and follow all company procedures and protocols

Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree is required
  • Multi-tasking individual who uses project management skills to accomplish goals

  • Solid and proven computer skill set (knowledge of MS Office is preferred)
