JOB SUMMARY

As our Director of Surveillance you'll be responsible for the overall operation of the Surveillance Department.  This includes leading a team that uses technology, sharp instincts, and strategic thinking to protect our guests, team members, and assets. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Candidate will monitor and update department policy and procedures.
  • Candidate will monitor review requests and completed investigative reports and submit all findings to the appropriate recipient. 
  • Candidate will assist with all criminal, civil, or internal investigations.
  • Candidate will maintain all investigative reports and surveillance coverage and will insure proper chain of custody for civil / criminal litigation cases.
  • Candidate will identify the need for new cameras based on quality of reviews, through company expansion, or remodeling projects. 
  • Candidate will monitor work completed by outside vendors.
  • Candidate will design all surveillance logs.
  • Candidate will update other departments, through observation reports, of any policy violations that would tend to violate the integrity of PID.
  • Candidate will, with approval of the legal department, supply information to the proper law enforcement agency and prosecuting officials. 
  • Candidate will prepare department budget.
  • Candidate is responsible for department scheduling including vacations and perfect attendance days.
  • May issue a complimentary in accordance with the approved comp matrix.
  • No Team Member who works in Surveillance is permitted to be in a familial or dating relationship with any other Team Member.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.  Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.  Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.  Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors. 

MATH ABILITY

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.  Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must possess intermediate PC skills.  Microsoft Office experience required.  Computer handling experience required.

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate is responsible for the overall operation of the Surveillance Department staff.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college required or minimum 10 years' supervisory experience in law enforcement or criminal justice.  Must have at least 5 years surveillance supervisory experience.

The noise level is moderate.  Candidate will be exposed to smoke when on the casino floor.  Candidate will be on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
