JOB TITLE: Assistant Athletic Director

SUPERVISOR: Athletic Director

LOCATION: District Wide

JOB SUMMARY

The Assistant Athletic Director assists in managing, promoting, organizing, and directing a program of interscholastic athletics, with a focus on developing foundational programs in addition to working in a position that meets their professional qualifications..

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in athletic administration, education, or a related field
  • Administrative, budgeting, planning, and leadership skills
  • High School coaching experience
  • Ability to successfully communicate at all levels of the organization
JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, coordinate, and oversee feeder programs in middle and elementary schools to build a sustainable pipeline of student-athletes for the high school athletic program.
  • Assist in the supervision and administration of home athletic contests.
  • Maintain high academic standards and expectations for participating student-athletes.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Salary and contract terms based on Benton Harbor Area School Board policies.
