Job Summary
The Director of Retail Banking oversees the administration and efficiency of all retail functions in accordance with bank objectives including operations, customer service, security, and safety. This role fosters a high-performing team and customer experience while promoting a sales & service culture through coaching, guidance, and motivation. The Director is responsible for building and strengthening customer relationships to achieve sales goals, referrals and account retention.


Additionally, the Director of Retail Banking leads the evaluation, implementation, and ongoing management of retail banking products, services, and technologies to support organizational growth and improve customer experience. This includes developing and maintaining operational procedures, collaborating with internal departments, and managing relationships with third-party vendors to ensure successful execution of retail initiatives.


The Director ensures compliance with Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations. This position oversees risk management, operational controls, security protocols, and regulatory compliance efforts while supporting the Bank's commitment to serving customers, developing employees, and achieving long-term success.


OMB Bank is a quickly growing, fast-paced $2.2 billion financial institution. The ideal candidate would have experience working for institutions of equal or greater size and be able to adapt quickly as new projects are presented, while maintaining existing compliance program.


Primary Location/Schedule:

  • Hybrid work environment: weekly schedule requires a combination of on-site and home office hours.
  • On-site: 3110 S Delaware Ave, Springfield MO 65804
  • 8:00 pm - 5:00 pm Monday – Friday; occasional additional hours as needed
  • Full-time – 40 hours per week average
  • Travel required throughout OMB footprint

Position Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree or three years of related experience

· Mastered experience, knowledge and training in progressively responsible branch management and supervisory activities

· Advanced sales and marketing experience.

· Demonstrated ability to cross-sell and explain all Bank products and services with confidence and authority.

· Effective time management skills (capable of managing and prioritizing multiple tasks

· Remain professional, composed, and assertive, including high pressure situations; display a sense of urgency as needed to ensure requests are completed within expected time frames/service level agreement

· Demonstrated self-motivation; productive, efficient, organized, accurate work output with no supervision while working independently and within a team environment

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, write reports, correspondence, and procedures, speak clearly to customers and employees

· Ability to apply strategic planning, activity coordination, and problem-solving techniques to complex issues of multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations.
