Position Title: Regional Banking Executive
Business Unit: Retail
Reports To: Executive Director of Retail Banking Sales
Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for supervising and administering the retail function. The incumbent serves to motivate, mentor and coach employees to generate new and maintain existing relationships. The incumbent develops internal performance objectives for branch office business development, deposits, loan growth and quality of audit reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
Oversees all regional executive functions and related policies and procedures. Establishes the current and long-range objectives, strategies of the region as directed and approved by the Executive Management. Responsible for the overall financial productivity and return on shareholder investment for the region.
Dispenses advice, supervisory guidance in setting goals and objectives, monitors and recommends adjustments in direction as needed and evaluates the performance of direct reports. Recommends add to staff changes and approves transfers, terminations and evaluations. Assigns strategic tasks to members of senior management, monitors and evaluates progress and adjusts as needed.
Oversees performance of the region through comparison of results compared to goals and ensures that measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
Manages and directs the assigned region to meet its primary objectives, goals and the Strategic Planning Process. Ensures that the region functions in compliance with directives set forth by Bank policy, Regulators, External Auditors and Board of Directors.
Provides regular reports and objective updates quarterly. Conducts and participates in meetings or on committees as needed. Controls marketing, personnel, operations and lending functions of the region within established policies and procedures.
Coordinates and implements a customer service and relationship building program that trains branch staff to develop a complete financial relationship with the customer.
Sustains relevant relationships with the business and professional community to enhance business opportunities and promote a positive Bank image.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.
