Let's talk about the Role

In your role as Director, Portfolio Management (Diagnostics), you will lead and transform delivery across a global Diagnostics portfolio spanning Consumer and Provider domains. You will operate across geographically distributed teams (Sydney, India, US, Singapore, Dublin), integrating hardware, digital, regulatory, and regional delivery in a highly regulated environment.

You will own system-level delivery performance, making critical decisions on prioritization, sequencing, and trade-offs while translating portfolio strategy into actionable delivery plans. You will represent delivery outcomes in executive forums and ensure alignment to business priorities, driving predictable outcomes at scale.

You will also design and continuously evolve the Diagnostics delivery system, improving performance, operating models, and ways of working across the broader delivery ecosystem. This role requires a strong focus on ownership, enterprise-level decision-making, and building scalable delivery systems.

  • Own end-to-end delivery across the Diagnostics portfolio, with accountability for commitments, timelines, and outcomes

  • Represent delivery performance, risks, and trade-offs at executive forums

  • Drive cross-portfolio prioritization, sequencing, and trade-offs aligned to strategic objectives

  • Translate portfolio strategy into actionable delivery plans while balancing demand, capacity, and regulatory considerations

  • Provide executive-level oversight across complex global delivery environments

  • Identify systemic risks, dependencies, and constraints impacting delivery performance

  • Establish governance and delivery practices that enable speed, predictability, and quality outcomes

  • Own the delivery narrative for Diagnostics through clear, data-driven insights and reporting

  • Define evaluation frameworks to assess end-to-end delivery confidence across technical, regulatory, and operational readiness

  • Drive continuous improvement in operating models, delivery practices, and ways of working across the organization

  • Champion innovation, including AI-enabled workflows, to improve delivery efficiency and effectiveness

  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to influence roadmap and investment decisions

  • Lead negotiation and stakeholder alignment to optimize system-level outcomes

  • Lead, mentor, and build capability across a global team of Project and Program Managers

  • Establish and uphold standards for delivery excellence across the PMO and delivery ecosystem

Required Skills

  • 10+ years of experience in delivery leadership across complex, multi-team engineering or product environments (digital and/or hardware)

  • Proven track record of owning outcomes and delivering at scale in globally distributed environments

  • Strong ability to translate strategy into execution and drive cross-functional alignment

  • Demonstrated experience in prioritization, trade-off management, and decision-making in complex, ambiguous environments

  • Experience improving operating models, delivery practices, and leading transformation initiatives

  • Proven ability to influence senior and executive stakeholders and align competing priorities

  • Strong people leadership experience, including mentoring and developing teams or influencing across organizations

  • Solid understanding of digital and/or hardware product delivery within regulated environments

At Resmed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is:$195,000 - $244,000
