Job description

Job Summary:

The Portfolio Operations Manager is primarily responsible for management of the day-to-day operation of components of the IRA portfolio/department under the direction of the Portfolio Director. These tasks may include management and reporting of staff and program/department performance, forecasting, reporting tracking and reporting of program/department metrics. The position is also responsible for establishing, execution, and reporting of all proactive quality assurance processes.

Job Duties:

Leads day-to-day portfolio operations and directs cross-functional resources, subcontractors, and support functions to ensure effective execution across program priorities
Drives achievement of portfolio and program operational goals through planning, coordination, and performance oversight
Oversees core operational activities, including payment reviews, application intake, customer service support, and team scheduling
Leads forecasting, tracking, invoicing, and reporting activities for programs and projects across the portfolio
Provides oversight of weekly and monthly departmental and program reporting to support portfolio performance and decision-making
Partners with program teams and internal stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer/client satisfaction
Manages financial, legal, budget, and compliance tracking activities related to contracts, amendments, proposals, and subcontracts across the portfolio
Serves as a technical and operational resource to strengthen systems, processes, reporting capabilities, and portfolio-wide coordination
Completes special projects, ad hoc analyses, and other duties as assigned in support of portfolio leadership
Other duties as required

Supervisory Responsibilities:
Manages operations subcontractors, as needed, to support portfolio execution
Coordinates functional support resources to promote accountability and effective collaboration

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering from an accredited college or university, required

Experience:
Five (5) or more years of professional experience, required
Minimum of three (3) years of progressive team leadership experience, including managing direct reports and coordinating team performance, required
Prior operations experience with a strong understanding of energy efficiency or demand response program operations and processes, preferred

Certifications/Licensure:
Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Energy Manager (CEM), Business Energy Professional (BEP), BPI certifications, LEED credentials / LEED project certification experience, or comparable energy or project management credentials, preferred

Software:
High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint), required

Other Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Highly organized, detail-oriented skill set with ability to distill action items from multiple information sources quickly
Proven ability to navigate and strengthen relationships within and between teams and groups
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Superior attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to design and improve processes
High level of integrity and discretion
Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences

Individual salaries that are offered to a candidate are determined after consideration of numerous factors including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and geography.

National Range: $100,000 - $120,000
Maryland Range: $100,000 - $120,000
NYC/Long Island/Westchester Range: $100,000 - $120,000
