Ahava Therapy Services is hiring a Full-Time OTA for Henderson Health & Rehab, a 137-bed skilled nursing facility that provides short- and long-term care and outpatient services.

Therapists at Henderson work as part of an in-house collaborative rehab team, with strong leadership support, to help residents achieve independence and optimal function.

  • Provide occupational therapy treatments to residents according to the occupational therapist's treatment plans

  • Assist the Occupational Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex treatment procedures

  • Observe, record, and report conditions, reactions, and responses related to assigned duties

  • Maintain daily treatment records and document progress notes as directed

  • Assist the therapist in consulting with family members, physicians, and other healthcare professionals

  • Assist with the care of the occupational therapy department and equipment

  • Assist with in-service programs and other meetings as assigned

  • Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to the discipline and responsibilities

  • Act in compliance with Ahava Therapy Services’ regulatory and professional standards

  • Attend and participate in rehabilitation team conferences and other facility meetings

  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Understand reimbursement by various payers and allocate therapy resources efficiently

  • Demonstrate knowledge of OBRA regulations, HIPAA, Local Coverage Determination, and third-party reimbursement guidelines

  • Support the company’s mission and vision and project a professional image

  • Independently perform duties and recognize situations where direct supervision is needed

  • Maintain expected productivity levels

  • Graduate of an approved Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program

  • Active Tennessee OTA license or eligibility under state statutes

  • Current BLS/CPR certification

  • Strong observational, verbal, and written communication skills
