Summary of the Assistant Director of Rehabilitation: The Assistant Director will support the Director of Rehab in overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality patient care, supervising therapy staff, and promoting clinical excellence across physical, occupational, and speech therapy disciplines.

Job Requirements of Assistant Director Of Rehab:

  • Current PT, PTA, OT, OTA
  • Current CPR
  • At least one (1) experience working in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills

Essential Duties & Responsibilities of the Assistant Director Of Rehab:

  • Assist in managing and supervising day-to-day rehabilitation operations
  • Provide clinical guidance and support to therapy staff (PT, OT, SLP, assistants, and aides)
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as facility policies
  • Monitor patient care delivery and outcomes to ensure high standards of treatment
  • Participate in staff hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Assist with documentation audits and quality assurance initiatives
  • Support department budget management, resource allocation, and supply procurement
  • Step into direct patient care responsibilities as needed
