Description: Our client is currently seeking a Director of Technology
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and security-focused Director - Network Infrastructure to lead and manage enterprise IT operations. This role is responsible for overseeing network infrastructure, cloud platforms, data center technologies, and IT systems within a dynamic environment-preferably within the financial services sector. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and a proactive approach to security, performance, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain enterprise LAN/WAN/SD-WAN infrastructure, including Cisco hardware/software.
  • Oversee data center environments, including VMware/Nutanix, storage systems, and virtualization platforms.
  • Administer and optimize cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or similar).
  • Ensure high availability and performance of voice systems and call center applications.
  • Lead and supervise IT staff; provide guidance, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Manage network circuits (DIA, MPLS, SIP, PRIs) and routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
  • Perform fiber channel zoning and zone set configuration for storage environments.
  • Maintain and support Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Monitor and enforce security best practices across infrastructure and systems.
  • Coordinate and manage multiple IT projects across departments.
  • Provide technical support escalation and ensure high-quality customer service.
Required Qualifications
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred
    (or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Preferred certifications (or equivalent experience):
    • VMware
    • Storage certifications (PURE, Dell, HP)
    • Microsoft / Azure
    • Linux
    • Cisco
Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with:
    • LAN/WAN networks and Cisco technologies
    • Voice systems and call center applications (preferred in financial institutions)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, etc.)
  • 3-5 years of supervisory/leadership experience
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Fiber channel zoning and zone sets
    • Enterprise networking environments
Technical Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Financial institution products/services and regulatory requirements
    • TCP/IP, networking principles, and SD-WAN architectures
    • Routing protocols: BGP, EIGRP, OSPF
    • Network circuits: DIA, MPLS, SIP, PRIs
  • Experience with:
    • Microsoft Active Directory and Office applications
    • Cisco telephony (intermediate level)
    • Windows Server (2016-2025) and Linux OS
