Belen Jesuit Preparatory School is currently accepting applications for a full-time Director of Technology . The Director of Technology leads the school's technology team and the school's overall approach to technology, ensuring it supports teaching and learning, improves operations, and helps the school make informed decisions. The Director will serve as a strategic advisor to school leadership and a collaborative partner to all departments, helping to identify opportunities where technology can improve processes, strengthen systems, and support the school's mission. This position requires a balance of strategic vision and operational execution, ensuring that current technology systems are reliable while guiding the school toward innovative and sustainable solutions that improve how the institution operates and makes decisions. The Director of Technology reports directly to the President of the School and will be evaluated annually by the President.
Term: 12-month, full-time, exempt position.
Responsibilities include:
  • Review and implement the recommendations of the school's technology audit.
  • Develop and begin executing a multi-year technology roadmap aligned with the strategic plan.
  • Strengthen cybersecurity and risk management practices.
  • Build strong relationships across the institution and position technology as a strategic partner by collaborating closely with the Academic Technology team.
  • Deliver meaningful improvements that enhance teaching, learning, and operational effectiveness.
  • Engage proactively with departments to understand their priorities, assess current and future technology needs, and foster a service-oriented IT department that supports the institution's mission.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in technology, including leadership roles.
  • Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, enterprise systems, and cybersecurity principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in educational settings or mission-driven organizations preferred.
  • Experience with enterprise systems such as Blackbaud Education Management, Veracross or similar platforms is strongly preferred.
