Director of Digital (Paid Media + SEO + Digital Optimization)

RedRover is seeking a results-obsessed digital leader to guide our pack toward peak performance in digital strategy, optimization, and reporting. You're driven to rigorously test, continuously improve outcomes, and uncover insights that fuel innovation. You thrive at the intersection of strategy, technology, AI, and performance-and you're known for balancing big-picture vision with hands-on execution.


This is a senior player/coach role for someone who can lead digital strategy and execution across email, advertising, organic and paid search, website development (UX/UI and CRO), organic and paid social, and CRM optimization while also serving as an AI champion-actively applying AI tools to accelerate analysis, optimization, testing, and reporting. You'll stay close enough to the work to spot (and fix) performance issues fast, rolling up your sleeves wherever needed rather than operating solely as a coach or reviewer.


Position Overview

RedRover Sales & Marketing Strategy is an internationally award-winning, fast-growing B2B agency on a national expansion path.

The Director of Digital will own our agency's iterative testing and digital optimization process and lead the strategy and development of dashboards and performance reporting. You will also manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of digital specialists (PPC, SEO, FED, UX/UI) toward the achievement of RedRover's signature guaranteed metrics.


Bottom line: you're responsible for making whatever campaign adjustments are necessary to achieve the outcomes the agency guarantees.


What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

1) Lead Digital Optimization & Iterative Testing

  • Lead the agency's digital optimization effort, ensuring weekly split testing within every campaign and continual refinement across client programs.
  • Regularly audit performance of digital assets and campaigns; create test roadmaps and push improvements through to results.
  • Champion a relentless culture of experimentation-this isn't "set it and forget it" testing; it's systematic iteration of every conceivable variable.

2) Own Paid Media Strategy & Performance (Hands-On)

  • Direct paid media strategy and execution across platforms (Google Ads, Bing, LinkedIn, Meta, etc.).
  • Oversee keyword/audience research and competitive insights to inform targeting and spend strategy.
  • Guide ad copy and creative performance standards aimed at improving CTR, CPC, CVR, CPL, and ROAS.
  • Monitor and optimize bidding, budgeting, pacing, and platform configurations to hit performance goals.

3) Direct Integrated Digital Strategy (Paid + Organic)

  • Align PPC and SEO strategy to maximize search visibility and conversion impact across the funnel.
  • Lead technical/on-page/off-page SEO direction in partnership with specialists, ensuring strategies enhance
  • Collaborate with strategy, creative, UX/UI, and development teams so digital campaigns align with client goals and brand objectives.

4) Lead Reporting, Dashboards & Insight Storytelling

  • Oversee and drive development of dashboards, analytics tools, and automated reporting systems.
  • Translate complex multi-platform data into clear, compelling visual reporting clients/ internal teams can act on.
  • Analyze trends, surface performance insights, and recommend strategic optimizations with confidence.

5) Manage & Grow the Digital Bench

  • Manage and mentor a team of digital experts (PPC, SEO, FED, UX/UI), setting performance expectations and growth paths.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration and ensure commitments are met on time, with no surprises.
  • Bring forward new technologies, methodologies, and best practices that keep RedRover ahead.

6) Own and Execute the Digital Roadmap for RedRover

  • Lead the evolution of RedRover into an AI-first firm by actively applying emerging technologies to improve performance, speed, and insight. Build and scale the systems, talent, and processes required to support continuous innovation-while remaining hands-on where it matters most.
  • Build the organization to support technology and innovation.


Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Deep expertise leading digital strategy across paid social, PPC, SEO, UX/UI, digital campaign management, and optimization; comfortable being hands-on when needed.
  • Extensive experience running split-testing at scale with measurable performance lift.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage comprehensive digital reporting and dashboard systems.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills with multidisciplinary digital teams, including international talent.
  • Proficiency with GA4, GTM, Search Console, HubSpot, Unbounce, SEMRush (or equivalent).
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially simplifying complex data into decisions.
