Blitzy is a Cambridge, MA based AI software development platform on a mission to revolutionize the software development life cycle by autonomously building custom software to unlock the next industrial revolution. We’re transforming how enterprises build software, turning enterprise requirements into production‑ready code with an agentic software development platform that can autonomously execute 80% of the quantum of software development work. We’re backed by multiple tier‑1 investors, and have proven success as founders of previous start‑ups.

Location: Cambridge, MA

Travel: Up to 40% — commensurate with portfolio demands

Compensation: $250,000 – $375,000 annually + 20% bonus + equity

The Role

We’re looking for a Managing Director, Digital Transformation to build and lead an elite practice embedded directly within the operations of our Strategic Accounts. This is a senior leadership role for someone who has spent their career at the intersection of enterprise technology and strategic business impact.

In this role, you’ll own solutions delivery, build a team of specialist engineers, and hold executive relationships at the CTO level and below across the enterprise. You are as comfortable in a boardroom presenting a transformation roadmap as you are in a sprint review holding engineers accountable to delivery standards.

Work Arrangement: Hybrid structure balancing time between client sites and HQ1 in Kendall Square. Moderate travel required to support key account relationships across the portfolio.

  • You scale our Forward Deployed Engineering practice are delivering against commitments, on scope, with high client satisfaction across every active engagement
  • You are the trusted technical advisor in the room when enterprise CTOs make consequential platform decisions
  • You have built a culture of excellence on your team — high standards, clear accountability, strong retention
  • You identify expansion opportunities within accounts and convert them, growing the scope and impact of the FDE function
  • You translate field intelligence into product influence, ensuring our roadmap reflects what matters most to enterprise buyers
  • You operate the function like a business — with clear KPIs, structured delivery frameworks, and a point of view on where to invest next
What You’ll Do Executive Client Leadership
  • Own and grow senior relationships across a portfolio of Fortune 100 accounts, engaging at the CTO, CIO, and VP Engineering level
  • Lead executive business reviews, C‑suite presentations, and board‑level briefings that translate technical progress into business outcomes
  • Shape digital transformation roadmaps alongside client leadership — bringing our platform’s capabilities to bear on their highest‑priority challenges
  • Identify and develop account expansion opportunities; support pre‑sales efforts for new enterprise engagements
Forward Deployed Engineering Ownership
  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of forward deployed engineers embedded across client environments
  • Set and enforce standards for project delivery, engineering quality, and client engagement across all active accounts
  • Serve as the senior technical escalation point — able to engage hands‑on when complex integration or delivery challenges arise
  • Balance multiple concurrent enterprise engagements, ensuring each is appropriately resourced, scoped, and governed
Strategic & Organizational Impact
  • Partner with Product, Sales, and executive leadership to define the strategy and expansion of the FDE function
  • Establish delivery frameworks, KPIs, and feedback loops that drive continuous improvement across the practice
  • Recruit, develop, and retain senior engineering talent — building a team culture defined by technical excellence and client accountability
  • Contribute to go‑to‑market strategy, thought leadership, and the development of reusable delivery assets and IP
Required Experience
  • 15+ years of progressive experience spanning enterprise technology consulting, software engineering leadership, and senior client management
  • Background at a Big 4 firm or equivalent elite technology consultancy strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record leading complex digital transformation programs for Fortune 500 / Fortune 100 organizations
  • Broad fluency across the modern enterprise technology stack — cloud infrastructure, data platforms, APIs, microservices, AI/ML, and enterprise integration
  • Proven ability to engage credibly from the engineering level up to the C‑suite — technically grounded, strategically minded
  • Experience managing and developing high‑performing technical teams in client‑facing, outcome‑driven environments
  • Strong commercial instincts — skilled at framing value, managing scope, and converting relationships into long‑term partnerships
