Job description

Blue Sky Innovators (BSI) is seeking a Director of Security to join our team in Reston, VA.
Responsibilities:
  • Own all aspects of BlueSky's facility and security program, end to end.
  • Direct physical security for our corporate headquarters, including our SCIF spaces, ensuring continuous compliance with ICD 705 and related physical security standards.
  • Manage the consultants who support our Personnel Security program and classified IT security, setting priorities and holding the work to standard.
  • Serve as the company's senior point of contact for personnel security actions - clearance processing, periodic reinvestigations, and adjudication coordination.
  • Support BlueSky's commercial security and executive protection offerings, lending your operational expertise to solutions we bring to customers.
  • Advise company leadership on security risk, compliance posture, and program readiness ahead of customer and government inspections.

Required Qualifications:
  • Current Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • Experience supporting classified DoW and Intelligence Community programs.
  • 10+ years of experience in SCI and SAR security program responsibilities.
  • Experience across physical, personnel, and information security disciplines in a corporate security role.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting DARPA or NRO programs.
  • Counterintelligence experience

Salary range for the position is $170,000 - $190,000 per year. Specific compensation will be determined by several factors including experience, education, skills, and knowledge. We also offer medical/dental/vision benefits and 401k contribution.
