Security Guard Texas Level III Armed Patrol Driver - Part Time

As a Security Guard Texas Level III Armed Patrol Driver - Part Time in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving position requires a valid driver's license and Level III Armed Certification. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $26.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time Fri 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM

Sat 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM

Sun 06:00 AM - 02:45 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to customers, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading docks, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for potential security-related concerns, escalating issues to site leadership and/or emergency services as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and required equipment records in accordance with Allied Universal and site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, corrections, or military experience, or at least 5 years of armed security experience.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
