MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Mission Integration Engineer to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.  This is an onsite position.

In this role, you will serve as a primary technical advisor, bridging the gap between high-level joint warfighting concepts and complex system-of-systems engineering requirements. You will lead cross-functional teams in decomposing complex naval and joint task lists into functional mission threads, defining kinetic and non-kinetic configurations, and driving the development of the Navy's integrated capability technical baselines.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

  • Lead technical and operational analysis supporting the PMA-298 Naval Capabilities-Based Integration Process (NCIP) Integrated Product Team (IPT)

  • Oversee and direct the breakdown of Universal Joint Task Lists (UJTL) and Universal Naval Task Lists (UNTL) into granular, executable mission threads, kill chains, and target-pairing configurations

  • Lead and facilitate national-level technical meetings, working groups, and collaborative conversations integrating warfighter, acquisition, budget, and intelligence community Subject Matter Experts (SMEs)

  • Spearhead the development of Naval Concepts of Employment (CONEMPs), kill chain/kill web wholeness assessments, capability gap assessments, and Design Reference Missions (DRMs) to directly influence NAVAIR acquisition and investment decisions

  • Partner closely with senior OPNAV and NAVAIR pillar program representatives to synthesize and compile comprehensive mission technical baselines across multiple future time epochs

  • Direct the capture of mission architectures and system-of-systems relationships using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) frameworks, guiding team members in utilizing digital modeling environments

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, operations research, physics, computer science, or a related scientific discipline

  • Must be a graduate of a military warfare center of excellence Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures (TTPs) curriculum (e.g., TOPGUN, MAWTS-1, EAWS, CAEWWS, AWS, or Joint equivalent)

  • 15+ years of professional experience directly related to the analysis of Naval Aviation/Naval mission areas, CONEMPs, and associated kill chains

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record as a senior-level Operations Officer, Training Officer, or Joint Planner (e.g., former O-5/O-6 or senior civilian equivalent) with extensive experience aligning joint task lists to operational readiness frameworks

  • Broad operational background spanning Joint Operations, Surface Warfare, Information Warfare, and/or Air-to-Surface mission spaces, offering a holistic view of the "kill web" beyond standard aviation tactics

  • Advanced experience with (or strong structural understanding of) Cameo Systems Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architecture, or MagicDraw to effectively supervise or develop system-of-systems digital roadmaps

  • Thorough understanding of the DoD 5000 series lifecycle, capability gap assessment processes, and the execution of Analysis-of-Alternatives (AoA)

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have a current and active Top Secret clearance and be willing and able to obtain SCI

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
