Founded in 1926, Dignity Health - Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center is a 334-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital. Serving over 70,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level III NICU, heart care, wound care and surgical services. Additionally, Glendale Memorial Hospital has been recognized as an LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. It is a Joint Commission-certified Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center and a SRC Center of Excellence for Robotic Surgery and Colorectal Surgery.

Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director Mission Integration for Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, you will lead and set strategy for mission integration to ensure the mission, vision, values, heritage, ethics, and identify are integrated into all aspects of the hospitals.
Every day, you will promote a values-based organizational culture uniting people around our mission, and help design and implement educational programming for staff, volunteers, the community, and others about the Dignity Health mission and values. You will also prepare regular accountability reports for the senior leadership team and hospital board regarding key areas of mission integration: organizational identity, spirituality and culture, ethical principles, and community health and the common good.
To be successful in this role, you will need an understanding of healthcare and supporting our mission of caring for underserved communities. You will need to possess strong communication, organization, and time management skills, and be well versed in developing and executing strategic plans.

Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:
  • Master's Degree in healthcare management, theology, spirituality, behavioral science or related fields required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of progressive responsibility in a related field (e.g., Spiritual Care, Healthcare, etc.) required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/management experience required.

Required Training:
  • Professional preparatory training (Masters level or equivalency) in theology, spirituality, ethics and community health required within two (2) years of hire.
