Full-Time, Days, No Weekends

A leading acute care hospital laboratory is seeking an experienced Laboratory Director to lead operations, quality initiatives, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced clinical environment. This role oversees laboratory operations, staff development, and strategic performance improvements while ensuring exceptional diagnostic services that support patient care.

The laboratory is part of a large healthcare network providing diagnostic services to hundreds of hospitals and clinical partners. The department includes automated core testing, high-complexity diagnostics, and quality-driven operations aligned with CAP, CLIA, and other regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct laboratory operations and ensure compliance with all regulatory and quality standards
• Lead staffing, training, and performance management initiatives
• Develop and execute operational strategies to improve service, quality, and financial performance
• Monitor resource utilization and manage departmental budgets
• Oversee vendor relationships and supply chain efficiencies
• Drive continuous improvement through data analysis and operational feedback
• Maintain policies, procedures, and operational best practices
• Foster a culture of accountability, professional growth, and exceptional service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Biomedical Science, Biology, or Chemistry
• National Medical Technologist certification
• TN state license
• 5+ years of laboratory management experience in complex clinical settings
• Hospital laboratory leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and quality systems

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $95,000 – $140,000
• Sign-On Bonus: $15,000
