This is a unique opportunity for a strategic leader who combines deep Pilates expertise with experience developing instructors, building education programs, and leading high-performing teams.
What You'll Do
Lead the Fitness Department
  • Develop and execute the strategic vision for the Fitness Department in alignment with BODYBAR's business objectives and long-term growth strategy.
  • Build, mentor, and develop a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing Fitness team.
  • Establish departmental priorities, workflows, decision-making processes, and performance expectations that support consistency, accountability, and scalability across the franchise system.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the department.
Serve as the Steward of the BODYBAR Method
  • Own and continuously evolve the BODYBAR Method, ensuring its philosophy, programming principles, instructional standards, and member experience remain innovative, effective, and aligned with the BODYBAR brand.
  • Balance innovation with consistency by thoughtfully evaluating fitness trends, Pilates methodologies, technologies, and equipment advancements while preserving the integrity of the BODYBAR Method.
  • Establish the long-term vision and roadmap for the continued evolution of BODYBAR's programming and instructional standards.
Lead Programming Strategy & Content Development
  • Oversee the development, refinement, governance, and version control of BODYBAR's proprietary workout programming, class design standards, exercise library, and programming resources.

  • Own the continuous improvement of BODYBAR's education operating model, ensuring certification, continuing education, programming updates, and instructional quality work together as one integrated system.
  • Design education and quality assurance processes that intentionally separate instructor development, certification, and independent quality verification to ensure BODYBAR standards are consistently taught, assessed, calibrated, and maintained throughout the franchise network.
  • Review certification outcomes, instructor assessments, evaluation trends, and field feedback to continuously strengthen education programs, instructional consistency, and franchise support.
Drive Quality Across the Franchise Network
  • Develop and lead a comprehensive quality assurance framework that promotes a consistent member experience and reinforces adherence to BODYBAR standards across all studios.
  • Partner with franchisees to support exceptional fitness execution while reinforcing operational expectations and brand standards.
  • Serve as the Fitness subject matter expert for new studio readiness, studio openings, and system-wide programming initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Marketing, Franchise Development, and Learning & Development to ensure education, programming, and readiness initiatives support broader organizational priorities.
Lead Business Performance & Strategic Partnerships
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators related to programming effectiveness, instructor performance, certification outcomes, instructional quality, and member experience.
  • Analyze system-wide performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and strategic recommendations that improve quality, consistency, and business performance.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation across programming, education, travel, and vendor partnerships.
  • Build and manage relationships with fitness technology and equipment partners, identifying opportunities that enhance the BODYBAR Method and support franchise success.

  • 7-10 years of progressive experience in Pilates education, fitness programming, curriculum development, or fitness operations.
  • 3-5+ years leading teams within a boutique fitness, Pilates, wellness, or franchise organization.
  • Demonstrated success developing instructor education programs, certification standards, curriculum, continuing education, and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Experience building scalable education systems and using performance metrics to improve instructional quality and business outcomes.
