POSITION: Director/Sr. Director, Commercial Analytics & Operations


The salary range for this position is between $192k and $290k

Actual salary at the time of hire may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant qualifications, skills, and experience. The company also currently offers a Long-Term Incentive Plan (cash plan) of 25% base salary, and annual performance bonus target of 25% base salary (subject to meeting plan requirements).


POSITION SUMMARY

Averitas Pharma is seeking a highly strategic, hands-on and collaborative Director/Sr. Director, Commercial Analytics & Operations to lead and integrate Commercial Analytics and Insights and Field Operations with data-driven decision support across the organization.


This role will serve as the single owner of the end-to-end commercial engine, spanning analytics and insights, field force effectiveness, incentive compensation, data strategy and commercial operations governance. The Director/Sr. Director will partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Market Access, Medical Affairs, Finance and IT to ensure that the commercial strategy is supported by high-quality data, actionable insights and operational excellence.


The ideal candidate brings a strong blend of analytics and field operations leadership, commercial operations expertise and executional rigor, with the ability to translate complex data into clear recommendations that drive performance and effectiveness in a specialty pharmaceutical environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Commercial Analytics, Insights & Reporting

  • Lead all commercial analytics, insights and performance reporting activities supporting Sales, Marketing, Market Access and Medical Affairs organizations
  • Own and develop demand based forecasting models and a comprehensive KPI framework to monitor brand, field and organizational performance
  • Maintain market research plan to support market research activities, including both quantitative and qualitative studies
  • Utilize various data sets including claims data to identify HCPs and patients at different stages of their journey and work cross-functionally to help develop recommendations for omnichannel engagement strategies
  • Provide proactive, actionable insights related to market dynamics, customer behavior and commercial effectiveness to senior leadership
  • Design, deliver and communicate standardized and ad hoc analyses to identify opportunities, risks and areas for course correction
  • Effectively communicate insights through monthly and quarterly business review executive-level presentations, dashboards and field-facing performance communications

Field Operations & Salesforce Execution

  • Lead field operations capabilities including sales force strategy & sizing, territory alignments, field deployment including HCP and account targeting strategies and call planning operations
  • Oversee incentive compensation plan design and analytics, administration and reporting, adjudication and audit readiness and chair ICRC (incentive compensation review committee)
  • Develop and strong focus on sales force execution KPIs, partnering cross-functionally to ensure effective field communication of performance metrics, goals and priorities
  • Support Market Access including Patient Services through performance analytics, operational insights and reimbursement-related reporting
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial execution models as the organization grows and evolves ensuring scalability of operations functions

Data Strategy & Governance

  • Serve as primary point of contact for commercial data vendors, syndicated data sources and analytics partners
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure data quality, integrity, governance and timely delivery of analytics
  • Ensure automation of key metrics and performance indicators partnering closely with platforms team to evolve the commercial data ecosystem including data models for seamless reporting
  • Lead analytics request intake, prioritization and governance processes to align resources with business-critical objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all data governance, privacy and regulatory requirements such as AMA

Vendor Management & Operational Excellence

  • Lead vendor selection, contracting and ongoing management for analytics and commercial operations vendors
  • Oversee RFP processes, budget forecasting, performance reviews and QBRs to ensure high-quality and cost-effective delivery
  • Drive process optimization and operational efficiency across commercial analytics and operations workflows

Leadership & Culture

  • Build, lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of ownership and accountability, collaboration, continuous learning and data-driven decision making
  • Provide clear direction, coaching and development opportunities for direct reports and cross-functional partners
  • Act as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the US leadership team


QUALIFICATIONS, CAREER EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

A combination of relevant education and applicable job experience will be considered

  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA or equivalent)
  • Career Experience
    • 10+ years of experience in commercial analytics, field operations, commercial operations or related roles within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry
    • Demonstrated experience leading both commercial analytics and field operations or sales operations functions
    • Deep understanding of pharmaceutical data sources, including syndicated data such as IQVIA, Veeva, specialty pharmacy data, claims data and market access data sets
    • Proven track record of building or scaling commercial infrastructure, processes and systems in a growing organization
    • Experience in specialty and buy-and-bill markets strongly preferred
    • Global experience is a plus
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear business recommendations
    • Experience with commercial systems and tools including Veeva CRM and business intelligence platforms (i.e. Power BI, Tableau).
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills; working knowledge of SQL or similar querying tools preferred
    • Highly collaborative and adaptable, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on execution
    • Strong attention to detail with high level of pragmatism and demonstrated learning agility
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with comfort presenting to executive leadership
    • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
