Job description

Figma's Business Systems team enables our go-to-market, finance, and operational functions by building and scaling the systems that power the business. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Director of Business Systems to lead four established functions: GTM Systems, Financial Systems, Integration Engineering, and ITGC.

In this role, you'll partner closely with leaders across Finance, Revenue, Legal, Security, and People to drive business systems strategy, improve operational efficiency, and scale the platforms and processes that support the company. You'll also play a key role in defining how AI is integrated into Business Systems workflows, tooling, and service delivery.

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the United States.

What you'll do at Figma:
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 20 professionals across GTM Systems, Financial Systems, Integration Engineering, and ITGC, including managers and senior individual contributors
  • Define and execute the Business Systems strategy, ensuring systems, processes, and roadmaps support Figma's growth and operational needs
  • Partner with stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Legal, Partnerships, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement to prioritize initiatives, manage intake, and deliver business outcomes
  • Represent Business Systems in executive and cross-functional forums, translating technical concepts, risks, and tradeoffs into clear business recommendations
  • Define and operationalize the team's AI strategy, including AI-assisted development, automation, documentation, and workflow optimization
  • Sponsor and oversee major business systems implementations, integrations, and transformation initiatives
  • Drive operational excellence through scalable governance, controls, and process improvements across the Business Systems portfolio
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • 10+ years of experience leading business systems, enterprise applications, or related technology functions, including experience managing managers and senior individual contributors
  • Deep expertise across quote-to-cash processes and the platforms that support them, including Salesforce, NetSuite, and billing or revenue systems
  • Experience operating in a SOX-compliant environment, including ownership of or partnership with ITGC programs
  • Demonstrated success building and developing high-performing teams, operating models, and cross-functional partnerships
  • Experience defining and implementing technology strategies that leverage automation, AI, or emerging technologies to improve business outcomes
While it's not required, it's an added plus if you also have:
  • Background in high-growth SaaS, with exposure to public or post-IPO operating environments
  • Built programs, processes, or team practices that measurably improved organizational effectiveness, engagement, or delivery outcomes
At Figma, one of our values is Grow as you go. We believe in hiring smart, curious people who are excited to learn and develop their skills. If you're excited about this role but your past experience doesn't align perfectly with the points outlined in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyways. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.
