The (USA) Director, Business Strategy leads the development and execution of organizational vision through comprehensive market analysis and strategic planning. This role oversees change initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects to enhance business performance. By collaborating with senior leadership and key stakeholders, the Director drives strategy prioritization, resource allocation, and performance measurement. The position fosters a culture of continuous learning, integrity, and operational excellence while supporting talent development and stakeholder engagement to achieve sustainable business results aligned with company goals.
About the team:
The team leads the development and execution of Walmart Marketplace’s global channel partner strategy, driving scalable growth across international markets. It collaborates closely with cross-functional leaders in Product, Engineering, Finance, and Operations to align strategic priorities and deliver measurable business outcomes. Focused on strategic planning, change management, and process improvement, the team ensures consistent execution of initiatives that enhance partner adoption and marketplace expansion. This group values strong leadership, effective communication, and data-driven decision-making to support long-term business objectives and accelerate partner-led growth worldwide.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and communicate the organizational vision and strategic execution plan based on industry and market analysis.
  • Define performance metrics and provide progress updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Lead change initiatives by managing project plans, assessing readiness, and ensuring adoption across the organization.
  • Oversee process improvements by evaluating projects, consulting leadership, and addressing operational barriers.
  • Direct cross-functional initiatives impacting store and corporate processes, including business programs and communications.
  • Analyze business objectives and customer needs to build and implement effective strategies and resource plans.
  • Foster talent development through recruitment, mentoring, and succession planning.
  • Build partnerships and engage stakeholders to maximize business goal achievement.
