Job description

Opening its doors over 45 years ago, FSSI is a leading document outsourcing company servicing Fortune 500 companies in the financial, banking, insurance and billing industries across the U.S.
FSSI East Inc. is looking for a full-time Operations (Production) Support to join our 1st shift team in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This position is responsible for general support to the production departments. This includes cross-training and filling in for various positions due to vacations, call outs or high-volume days, in addition to performing standard daily operational duties.
Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm (1st shift)
In addition to the regular schedule, additional hours (overtime) will be required on an as needed basis to support business operations. This may include working a longer daily schedule or working on weekends.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist or provide coverage in Mailing and Quality Assurance. These departments will require successful and accurate operation of large mailing equipment.
  • Moving stock and materials from warehouse to assigned location on the Inserter.
  • Signing off on mail pieces throughout the Inserting cycle.
  • Learn to operate Mailroom Inserters well enough to fill in on as needed basis.
  • Copying and scanning documentation if required.
  • Follow company policies and safety regulations.
  • Report unsafe facility and vehicle issues to management.
  • Perform other duties assigned dependent on the changing needs of the organization.
  • Flexibility in work schedule, and frequently working 10 or more hours per day, is required on a recurring basis.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
Effective written and oral communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills, and PC literacy. Intermediate level knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must possess strong customer service philosophy and attitude, work effectively and independently, and effectively work with all levels of employees. Must be flexible with shift and available overtime. Maintain a high level of confidentiality.
EDUCATION and/or RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Must be well organized and have strong time management skills.
  • Must handle multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and/or fingers to grasp, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear; stand, walk, climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift/move up to 40 pounds independently. Specific vision required by this job include close, distant, and peripheral vision, and focus adjustments. Steel-toe footwear must be worn while on the job site at all times regardless of the presence of a hazard.
