Position Summary
A confidential client is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to drive go-to-market execution, demand creation, and retail sell-through for a portfolio of smart home and connected device products. This channel- and consumer-facing role develops the positioning, marketing assets, campaigns, and sales tools that help retail and distribution teams win shelf space, support line reviews, and convert shoppers in-store and online. The ideal candidate translates product and brand strategy into clear, retailer-ready and consumer-ready programs that move product. This is a product marketing role and does not own the product roadmap, specifications, sourcing, or product P&L.
Responsibilities
- Lead go-to-market planning and asset readiness for new product launches, seasonal programs, and key retail windows across sales, e-commerce, creative, and operations.
- Develop product positioning, messaging, and retailer-specific selling stories that connect product benefits to category growth, shopper insights, and customer needs.
- Create and maintain sales enablement materials, including sell sheets, product one-pagers, line-review and category-review presentations, launch kits, and account-specific pitch decks.
- Plan and execute channel marketing programs, including retail media, on-site merchandising, promotional calendars, co-op or MDF campaigns, and joint marketing plans with retail and distribution partners.
- Optimize the digital shelf through enhanced content, product detail pages, imagery, copy, ratings-and-reviews strategy, and retail search visibility.
- Develop consumer-facing content across digital, social, video, packaging, merchandising, and point-of-purchase touchpoints to build awareness and purchase intent.
- Create and manage sample, demo, display, and merchandising programs, including planogram storytelling, display concepts, and in-store materials.
- Own creative briefs and manage internal teams, agencies, and vendors to deliver accurate, on-brand, and on-time content.
- Adapt global or corporate brand campaigns for the U.S. market, retail channels, and relevant consumer segments.
- Maintain a consistent source of truth for approved product messaging, imagery, pricing, promotion, assortment, and launch communications.
- Track campaign, content, and program performance, including sell-through, ROI, retail-media efficiency, and digital-shelf health; use insights to improve results.
- Manage marketing calendars, assigned budgets, co-op or MDF funds, project timelines, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of consumer products marketing experience, with a strong emphasis on product marketing, retail, trade/channel, or shopper marketing.
- Proven track record creating go-to-market, sales enablement, and channel marketing assets that drove measurable sell-through.
- Experience working with major retail accounts and/or distributors, including familiarity with line-review and category-review processes.
- Working knowledge of digital shelf management and retail media platforms, including enhanced content and retail search.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables, deadlines, budgets, and stakeholders.
- Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build persuasive selling stories from data and insights.
- Proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite and experience briefing creative teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience marketing smart home products, connected devices, IoT, networking products, consumer technology, or other hardware-enabled consumer products.
- Familiarity with co-op or MDF funding management and retailer marketing platforms.
- Experience adapting global or corporate brand campaigns for a regional or channel market.
- Experience marketing to younger consumer demographics through social and creator-led content.
