Job description

The Growth Strategist is responsible for project management, relationship development and management, and strategic evaluation of partnership opportunities. This position serves as a key member of the Growth Strategy team, reporting directly to the VP of Growth Strategy and working closely with senior leadership, business development, operations, service line, and facility leaders.

The Growth Strategist uses in-depth market and organizational knowledge to support timely, effective business decisions and identify opportunities that align with Parkview Health’s growth strategy. This position leads strategy development efforts, manages the implementation of strategic initiatives, and evaluates and implements new services, service expansions, and strategic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages projects related to the development and implementation of new strategic partnerships, including leading cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives and timelines.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with health systems and other strategic partners through regular communication and collaboration to advance shared goals.
  • Evaluates and prioritizes potential partnership opportunities based on strategic alignment, financial viability, market opportunity, and other relevant factors.
  • Conducts market research and competitive analysis to identify partnership opportunities and support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborates with business development and operations teams to develop partnership proposals and negotiate terms with potential partners.
  • Partners with finance and legal teams to conduct due diligence and finalize partnership agreements.
  • Monitors and evaluates the performance of existing partnerships, identifies opportunities for improvement, and develops strategies to optimize results.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with key stakeholders, including health system executives, physician leaders, and other industry partners.
  • Works with service line and facility leaders to develop and implement market-based, forward-looking strategies.
  • Participates in strategic planning and the evaluation of competitive services, service utilization, facilities, customer needs, and community needs.
  • Identifies opportunities for organizational growth and improved financial performance and supports implementation of approved initiatives.
  • Prepares fact-based, concise, and understandable reports and presentations for leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Strategic Planning, Marketing, Industrial or Systems Engineering, Business Administration, or Health Care Administration, plus a Master's Degree in Business or Health Care Administration.

Experience

Must have at least 5 years of related experience, including at least 2 years of experience in a health care setting.

  • Ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and develop effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated judgment, discretion, resilience, flexibility, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
  • Proven ability to use knowledge, expertise, and analytical skills to achieve desired results.
