Job description

About ALSO.

We’re ALSO, an electric mobility company originally conceived as a part of Rivian. We’re a passionate team of builders, dreamers, doers and innovators, focused on creating entirely new (not to mention, innovative and delightful) vertically integrated, small EVs designed to meet the global mobility challenges of today and tomorrow. Our mission is to inspire everyone to ride ALSO—replacing many local car, truck and SUV miles with ones on vehicles that are more affordable, more enjoyable and 10-50x more efficient.

ALSO is looking for a Content Strategist to own our blog and website long‑form content end‑to‑end, driving organic traffic and brand awareness through content that ranks in traditional search and gets cited by AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini. This is a hybrid role that sits at the intersection of editorial ownership, SEO strategy, and emerging AEO/GEO practice.

What You Will Do
  • Own the long‑form content roadmap and editorial calendar for the blog and core website pages

  • Enforce editorial standards (voice, structure, accuracy, depth) across all published content

  • Manage the content pipeline from ideation through briefing, drafting/editing, review, and publish

  • Partner with copywriters and AI‑assisted drafting workflows, maintaining a strong editorial quality bar over AI‑generated drafts

  • Conduct keyword research and content‑gap analysis to identify organic traffic opportunities

  • Build topical authority through content clusters and internal linking strategy

  • Develop content briefs that translate SEO/keyword data into clear direction for copywriters

  • Structure long‑form content for LLM readability and citation, including answer‑first framing, FAQs, How‑Tos, and schema markup

  • Track AI citation and visibility performance across AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and similar tools, and translate that data into content decisions

  • Monitor rankings, organic traffic, and engagement using tools like Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs, or Semrush

  • Collaborate with technical web team on‑page elements — metadata, schema, site structure — that affect content performance

  • Report on organic traffic growth, content performance, and AI visibility metrics to stakeholders

  • Partner with product, brand, and demand gen teams to align content with broader growth goals

What You Will Bring
  • 4-6+ years of experience in content strategy, editorial management, or SEO content roles, with direct ownership of a blog or content program

  • Proven track record of driving organic traffic growth through long‑form content

  • Strong command of SEO fundamentals: keyword research, on‑page optimization, content clustering, internal linking

  • Working knowledge of AEO/GEO concepts — answer optimization, LLM citation patterns, entity‑based content strategy — or strong aptitude to build this expertise

  • Excellent editorial judgment, with the ability to evaluate and improve writing for clarity, structure, and accuracy, including AI‑assisted drafts

  • Comfort with SEO/analytics tooling (Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush) and project/content management tools

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to run a content pipeline across multiple contributors and deadlines

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear content strategy

  • Experience with AI writing tools in an editorial (not just drafting) capacity is a plus

  • Familiarity with schema markup (FAQ, HowTo, Article) and its role in AI/search visibility is a plus

The salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $125,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. This will be a hybrid (3-5 days a week) opportunity based in Seattle, WA (Fremont District).

Perks and Benefits
  • Robust health coverage. Excellent health, dental and vision insurance covered up to 100% by Also. with FSA & HSA options.

  • One Medical membership and dedicated insurance advocates.

  • Rich fertility and family building benefits with Progyny.

  • Flexible time off.

  • 401(k) match.

Why ALSO.

We’re passionate about helping the world find a better way to get there—wherever it is you’re headed.

We’re located in the heart of Silicon Valley and have brought together a world‑class team from some of the biggest brands in the technology, automotive, cycling, outdoor recreation and retail spaces.

Together we’re working hands‑on to imagine, design and build an entirely new solution to a global set of transportation challenges.
