Job description

Job Title: iCUT Technician (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM)
Location: Carlstadt, NJ
Shift: Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (Overtime as needed)
Position Summary:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented iCUT Technician to join our production team in Carlstadt, NJ. The iCUT Technician is responsible for operating digital cutting equipment to produce high-quality printed graphics, signage, displays, and packaging components. This position ensures all finished products meet customer specifications while maintaining production efficiency, quality standards, and workplace safety. The role requires operating computerized cutting equipment, inspecting finished products, and performing routine machine maintenance.
Responsibilities:
-Set up and operate iCUT digital cutting equipment according to production specifications.
-Load, align, and unload various materials, including foam board, corrugated plastic, PVC, acrylic, vinyl, cardboard, and other print substrates.
-Read and interpret work orders, cutting files, and production schedules.
-Perform precision cutting, routing, creasing, scoring, and kiss-cutting as required.
-Inspect finished products for accuracy, quality, and adherence to customer specifications.
-Troubleshoot minor machine issues and perform routine preventive maintenance.
-Monitor machine performance and report equipment concerns to supervisors.
-Maintain accurate production records and complete required documentation.
-Work closely with Prepress, Printing, and Finishing teams to ensure jobs are completed on schedule.
-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
--Follow all company safety policies and standard operating procedures.
Assist in other production or finishing areas as business needs require.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or GED required.
-1-3 years of experience operating digital cutting equipment (iCUT, Zund, Kongsberg, Esko, or similar preferred).
-Experience in commercial printing, signage, display graphics, or packaging production preferred.
-Ability to read production tickets and use measuring tools accurately.
-Basic computer skills and familiarity with production software.
-Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
-Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
-Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.
-Strong communication and teamwork skills.
