Position Title: Durst Print Operator Specialist

Position Code: 600

Department: Production

Reports to: Assistant Production Supervisor

Position Summary:

The Durst Print Operator Specialist will print on various vinyl materials using a Durst P5 500R printer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates 16ft Durst P5 500R UV cure printer.
  • Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of print jobs on workorders.
  • Determines quantities required for print job.
  • Matches colors for print job per job request.
  • Aligns and configures printer per Durst specification.
  • Inspects random production samples to evaluate quality of printings.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies needed to operate printing machines.
  • Troubleshoots issues with printing machine and makes basic repairs.
  • Contacts Technical support for printer problems that can’t be resolved.
  • Resolving Printer problems in a timely manner.
  • Logs all printer problems.
  • Performs routine maintenance on printing machines per Durst requirements.
  • Maintains a clean area around printing machinery.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Makes sure the machine is being run efficiently and technology is being utilized fully.
  • Ensuring that material utilization is being executed.
  • Follow all OSHA and GPC safety policies and procedures.
