Job description

Summary: The Digital Imaging Operator I is responsible for producing variable and static digital printed pieces on the Xerox iGen, HP Indigo, Autobond, UV lighting and Scodix Digital Press.

Schedule: 1st shift, Monday - Friday, eight or more hours per day, five days per week based on business needs. Primary schedule will be 5:30 AM – 1:30 PM, or similar. Training may occur other times.

Salary Range: $19.00 To 20.00 Hourly

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work in collaboration with main Cutter Operator for provided instructions which will indicate specifications of form/batch cuts
  • Identify quantity of form and type of stock to secure correct boxes for packing of product
  • Off-load product from cutter tables and ensure order sticker label is eligible and visible for delivery
  • Conduct initial inspection of products to ensure quality control
  • To ensure compliance of orders, track inventory by physically counting product orders by order number
  • Accurately and safely box completed jobs and notify quality control teammate/supervisor when completed boxes are ready for inspection
  • Ensure materials on hand are organized and replenished
    1. To include boxes (to be made and kept on hand at inventory standard), tape guns, filling, chipboard dividers, markers, others as needed
    2. Place boxes in appropriate and safe floor locations under/near packing table
  • Maintain bins, when full relocate to back lot for recycling and replace with empty bin
  • Ensure set up is complete for shift change
  • Report all injuries, illnesses, and near misses to management immediately
  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations as set forth by 4over
  • Complete and maintain required records and paperwork, as needed
  • Perform regular housekeeping duties in assigned and surrounding areas
  • Attend all department/company meetings, as needed
  • Wear all assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when required
  • Perform other assigned duties

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCES:

  • Xerox iGen Operator certified
  • Six months – one (1) year of experience operating and troubleshooting an HP Indigo machine
  • Proficient computer knowledge

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS:

  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Strong problem-solving skills when faced with unexpected challenges, such as machine malfunctions, material shortages, or errors in print quality. Ability to adapt to new printing technologies or changes in production schedules, ensuring smooth operations despite changes.
  • Time Management & Efficiency: Ability to manage multiple print jobs simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without sacrificing quality. Organizing workflows, preparing materials in advance, and optimizing print runs for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in monitoring print jobs to ensure all details, such as color accuracy, image sharpness, and print placement, meet the required standards. Detecting small defects or inconsistencies during production and taking corrective action immediately.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and understand corporate policies, job-related documents, and written/verbal instructions in English to ensure effective and compliant job performance.
  • Strong foundational math skills, with the ability to perform basic operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and efficient in managing time, with a proven ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks accurately.
