Job description

Utility Printing Press & Bindery Operator

Location: Sedalia, Missouri

Responsibilities:

  • Operate various digital printing presses according to production schedule demands. Maintain flexibility in press operation.
  • Prepare press for daily work. Organize work area for efficient production including fully stocked shelves, supplies needed at press and any customer materials to complete jobs.
  • To assist in daily operation of any and all equipment in bindery.
  • Maintain machinery and clean it regularly. Report any repair needs to Press Manager and keep the maintenance and service records up to date. Alert the facilities maintenance technician, bindery supervisor, and/or service vendors of machine repair needs in the absence of Lead Operator.

Required:

  • Be able to lift 50 lb. throughout shift.
  • Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.
  • Must be able to successfully work with others in a positive, cooperative manner in a team-oriented environment to accomplish the company goals.
  • Proactively communicated with supervision and co-workers of needs and concerns in order to promote teamwork.
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned and abide by all company policies.
