Principles duties include installing and adjusting printing plates, loading and feeding paper and controlling ink flow. Ensuring the quality of the final printed piece. The Letterpress Operator is required to manage and oversee the operation of a printing press to ensure quality in the printed results, the functioning of the machine, and other quality assurance checks. Also, may be asked to operate the press in the absence of the Lead Operator.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES• Interfaces with supervision and line employees to ensure product is produced efficiently within quality specifications.• Operate machinery in efficient manner in accordance with company standards.• Responsible for the set-up and follow through on product from start to finish according to specifications.• Assist in training general workers and lower classification employees about operation of the press.• Assist in routine maintenance and minor repairs on the press as needed.• Maintain level of housekeeping that complies with company standards.• Other duties as assignedBASIC QUALIFICATIONS• H.S. diploma or equivalent.• Required 2 years of experience as a Letterpress Operator.• Color vision required.Our Company offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short & long-term disability, PTO, and Company-paid holidays.
